Many of our customers have used custom host software to connect the remote sites with their databases. We offer custom solutions for both small or large databases. These solutions all have the features or capabilities:

handle many phone lines at once (at least 48, we haven't found the limit yet.)
Built in modem tracing to aid troubleshooting
Pricing based on customer not on number of lines
Easy configuration of ports and modems
Includes all the capabilities of the Downloader as well
Can mix transactions with terminal downloading

This system uses ODBC to access any database. We have built systems which connect to AS400's, Sun and Oracle, and MS SQL Server. We have used simple queries and updates to manage the data and systems call stored procedures in the database.

Call for pricing and time line for installation. (The reason to call is that the prices vary quite a bit depending on the nature of your situation and which terminals you want to have the software running on. Prices can range from $18,000 to $70,000.)
