MySQL to SQL Server Conversions

There are two parts to any MySQL to SQL Server conversion: the structure and the data.

The structure of the MySQL database includes both the table definitions and any stored procedures and triggers. While most people have focussed on converting the table definitions and the data, the stored procedures and triggers often are just as important as the data. For example, looking at one system, the existing data was small, but all the rest was many times as large.

We have been building a tool to help convert the scripts of stored procedures. However, it isn't ready to sell as there are many issues. The SQL language is not consistant between MySQL and SQL Server. Right now, the process still needs a lot of manual effort to deal with the functions that are built in with MySQL, but not in SQL Server. What we would like to do is to get more data points to find out what we are missing in the process.
